At this point, no. We have designed it to be as light touch as possible for referees. They take action via email only, for now. We have plans to expand the referee role to be in app, but that's for later.
Yes. Once your challenges are deemed loss either by user inaction and/or referee denial, a stake charge will automatically kick in and your card on file charged. This only happens if you are on a paid plan which supports actual money charges for stakes. If you are on a free plan, then no actual money will be charged.
There is no need to "test" the feature either. We rarely offer refunds, so do keep that in mind!

Maintenance - team member salaries, general system upkeep
Innovation - new features to help users grow even more over the long term
Mission - onboard more users because we believe this world is a better place if we all had a system that kept us honest and accountable to growth! Some call this marketing but we like "mission" better!
We are aware that the first thing that comes to mind is to donate to charity. While that is a kind idea, it doesn't abide by the psychological principal of "making it hurt" when one misses their due date. This makes the product less effective as making one feel good when missing a due date is not at all the point of this product. We are exploring ideas on how to implement a similar idea with high effectiveness for the user. Stay tuned.

Yes, absolutely! Because easy cancellations can be a quick one-tap opt-out for some, we require your referee to be involved in the cancellation process. When you try to cancel in app, your referee will get an email with approval pin. Ask them for the pin, enter it, and you can proceed to cancel.
Once cancelled, the entire app will behave like a free plan where you will be limited to 5 challenges and no real monies will be used for stakes.
We typically do not offer refunds. We try to make the app as simple and clear as possible with zero gotchas. All charges are only done after the user accepts the rules of the platform. This ensures the user understand how and when charges kick in. However, we understand there can be last minute emergencies that makes one unable to complete their challenges. In the rare case this happens, ask your referee to email us requesting a refund for the specific challenge and we will consider a refund. Subscriptions are non-refundable.
We believe those who generate meaningful value in society should be rewarded. Our app generates value for our users and value is expected back in return. It's a two way street!
